Putting an end to speculation on the issue, the Congress on Saturday announced that elections for appointing a full-time Congress president will be held in September next year.Addressing the media after a five-hour-long meeting of the CWC, Congress general secretary (organisation) KC Venugopal said a membership drive and grassroots-to-top organizational elections will be completed next year.As per the schedule, the elections will be held in three phases with enrolment of members starting from November 1, 2021. This will continue till March 31, 2022, said Venugopal.Elections for the posts of district presidents, vice presidents, and treasurers will be held between June 1, 2022 and July 20 2022 in the second phase.
