Centre Keen To Empower Youth: Minister

Hyderabad:The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is working with a mission to empower the youth and take up more welfare initiatives to create employment opportunities and achieve the Viksit Bharat targets, said Union minister of state for jal shakti Raj Bhushan Choudhry.Speaking at the 15th ‘rozgar mela’ in Hyderabad, part of a nationwide event, Choudhry said the Centre was maintaining full transparency and focusing on talent in recruitment. He presented employment letters to 130 youths at the event. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also addressed the youth through video conferencing.Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Telangana) Mithali Madhusmitha, Director General of Income Tax (Investigation) Anand Biwar, Chief Income Tax Commissioner Suresh Bathini and other senior officers attended the programme.Stating that the era of inordinate delays and biased recruitment processes had ended after Modi assumed office, Choudhry said the Centre had introduced revolutionary reforms to streamline government job recruitment. Agencies such as the SSC and RRB are now focusing on transparency and speed, conducting recruitment drives in a time-bound manner according to a fixed calendar, he explained.He hoped the newly recruited youth would act as catalysts and bring creativity and innovation to governance.
