Hyderabad:A case was registered with RGIA police after a Nizamabad native allegedly created nuisance on an Indigo flight, bound to Hyderabad, within RGIA police station limits on Thursday.According to SI Apparao, the passenger against whom a case was registered was Narsimhulu, a native of Nizamabad, working as a labourer in Nizamabad. The passenger was reportedly depressed.Narsimhulu was not feeling well in Dubai and asked the agent to send him back to Nizamabad. After reaching Bangalore, while boarding a flight to Hyderabad, he learnt that his brother, who was residing in Karnataka, had passed away.After being informed of his brother’s death, Narsimhulu allegedly requested the flight authorities to stop the flight. “When they did not, he kept asking the flight authorities and created a nuisance to make the flight stop. After we got him to the police station, we discovered that he was mentally unstable, and the same was confirmed by his wife,” the SI said.After the flight landed in Hyderabad, the police were informed about his ‘unruly behaviour’ and, he was shifted to the police station for questioning. A case was registered under Section 70 B of the CP Act and Section 290 of the BNS.Issuing a public notice regarding the incident, Indigo Airlines said, “A customer on a flight from Bengaluru to Hyderabad displayed non-cooperative behaviour with our cabin crew and fellow customers. Following our established protocols, the customer was handed over to airport police upon arrival. We regret any inconvenience caused to our customers and reiterate our dedication to ensuring a smooth and secure travel experience.”
