Karimnagar: To enhance the experience for devotees visiting the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada, a break darshan facility has been introduced, similar to those at Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam and Yadadri temple. This new system aims to accommodate the heavy influx of devotees, especially during Shravana Masam, by providing a dedicated time slot for darshan.The break darshan will be available twice daily: from 10:15 to 11:15 am and 4:00 to 5:00 pm, with tickets priced at Rs 300 each. Queues previously used for Seeghra darshan will now facilitate this new arrangement, with dedicated entrances to streamline the process. Speaking on the occasion, Vemulawada MLA and government chief whip Aadi Srinivas praised the introduction of break darshan, emphasising its importance for the temple, which is known as Dakshina Kashi. He criticixed the previous BRS government for not fulfilling its promises of allocating Rs 100 crore for temple development and for diverting funds meant for the temple. In contrast, the Congress government has allotted Rs 50 crore for the temple’s expansion and renovation, as reflected in the recent state budget. The development will follow the Agama Shastra guidelines, as advised by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and senior officials, in consultation with Shrungeri Peetam elders.
