Belagavi: Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra has urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to order a comprehensive CBI probe into various issues, including the Mysuru MUDA scam, Waqf irregularities highlighted in Anwar Manippady’s report, and the Rs 150 crore corruption accusations against himself.”Let the Rs 150 crore allegations against me also be investigated by the CBI. Accept Anwar Manippady’s report and initiate a thorough CBI investigation into it as well,” Vijayendra challenged while speaking to reporters at the Suvarna Soudha in Belagavi. He further emphasized the need for an extensive probe into the reported multi-lakh crore irregularities in Waqf properties.Criticizing the ruling Congress party, he accused them of deliberately avoiding discussions on pressing issues like maternal deaths, infant mortality, and problems in North Karnataka by bringing irrelevant matters to the Assembly.Vijayendra accused the Congress government of misusing the interim report of Justice Cunha commission to file FIRs against Yediyurappa with malicious political intent. “This is not the first time Siddaramaiah has resorted to such tactics. Previously, during his tenure, 25 cases were filed to politically target Yediyurappa and the BJP,” Vijayendra said. He claimed this was part of a conspiracy because the Congress feared BJP’s resurgence if Yediyurappa became the state president.Vijayendra also accused Siddaramaiah of being embroiled in various scams, including MUDA, Valmiki Corporation, and Excise Department irregularities. He alleged that Congress leader Priyank Kharge’s recent allegations against him lacked credibility, stating, “Even Priyank’s own misdeeds have come to light recently.”Vijayendra claimed that five acres of land near Bengaluru International Airport, worth hundreds of crores, were illegally sanctioned to Rahul Kharge. “Priyank Kharge, have you returned that land yet?” he questioned.
