Bhringi Vahana Seva marks second day of Srisailam Brahmotsavam

Priests performed rituals for Chandishwara Swamy in the Yagashala in the morning, followed by Mandaparadhanam, Panchavaranarchanam, Japanushthanam, Nityahavanam, Rudrahomam, and Chandihomam as per Agama Shastras. Pujas performed in the evening included Pradosha Kalapuja, Japanushthanam, Rudraparayanam, and Homam.As part of the Brahmotsava Vahana Sevas, priests performed the Bhringi Vahana Seva for the Swamy and Ammavaru. Their utsava idols were placed on a Bhringi Vahanam in Akkamahadevi Alankara Mandapam, followed by special pujas. The idols were subsequently taken in a procession through the main streets of Srisailam.Endowments secretary Vadarevu Vinay Chand reviewed the festival arrangements, inspected queue lines, temple decorations, celestial Kalyanam arrangements, and darshan facilities. He emphasised the need for better crowd management, continuous monitoring, and a well-planned queue system. Chief festival officer S.S. Chandrasekhara Azad, executive officer M. Srinivasa Rao and engineering officers were present.As part of the celebrations on Thursday, Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Dwaraka Tirumala, offered silk robes to the deities. Special pujas were performed for the silk robes before priests offered them to the deities amid the traditional Mangala Vadyam.
