Bhadrachalam Gears Up for Grand Rama Navami Fete, CM to Attend Celestial Wedding

Nalgonda: Elaborate preparations are underway at Sri Sita Ramachandraswamy Devasthanam in Bhadrachalam for the Sri Rama Navami festivities. The temple, along with the endowment, revenue, health, and police departments, is working diligently to stage the Seetharama Kalyanam on April 6 and the Sri Rama Pattabhishekam on April 7.In anticipation of the celebrations, the temple has been adorned with vibrant lights, enhancing its festive aura. Meanwhile, Mithila Stadium has been transformed into a central venue for key rituals. The celestial wedding of Sita and Rama is scheduled from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm on April 6, followed by the Pattabhishekam ritual at the same time on April 7. To ensure the comfort of thousands of devotees, cooling measures are in place at Mithila Stadium, including mist fogging machines to combat the summer heat. The stadium has been divided into 26 sectors with LED screens in each area, while 25 drinking water points and ample facilities — including 162 toilets and three mobile units at 15 locations — have been arranged with the support of 560 staff members. Additional provisions include 80 counters for distributing “talambralu” to devotees. One-kg packages will be available on RTC buses and through RTC cargo and post office bookings. Moreover, 19 laddu counters will serve up to 1,00,000 laddus daily to satisfy sweet cravings. Security measures are also a top priority. Barricades have been installed along the Godavari river, and the deployment of 20 swimmers and 15 risk boats is set to ensure water safety. The police department is committed to smooth operations during the two-day event and has introduced a QR code system to help devotees easily locate parking areas, welfare pavilions, and refreshment counters. A helipad has been prepared at Bhadrachalam for the arrival of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who is expected to attend the celestial wedding at Mithila Stadium. The Chief Minister will also partake in a unique luncheon, served at the residence of a PDS beneficiary in Sarakapa, located 4.3 km from Bhadrachalam. In a precursor to the main events, the ritual of Edurkolu was performed at the temple at 6.30 pm on Saturday.
