A Bengaluru teacher allegedly struck a sixth-grade student with a stick while attempting to control classroom misbehavior, resulting in a broken tooth. The boy had approached the teacher to report disruptive behavior by classmates. The police hadregistered a case under the Juvenile Justice Act and other applicable sections, collecting evidence including the stick and the broken tooth. The teacher claims the incident was accidental.
