Hyderabad: Banda Prakash, Vice Chairman, Legislative Council, said the book ‘Maa Vata Maké’ authored by Juluri Gourishankar, member of the first BC Commission of Telangana, would be a turning point for addressing the woes of the community. He said that not citing the 50 per cent limit on reservations while speaking of the quota for the economically weaker sections was double speak. The 50 per cent limit on reservations, set by the Supreme Court, was quoted only in the case of Backward Classes communities, he said. Justice Eswariah (retd) opined that the book would invigorate the BC communities’ enthusiasm for the pursuit of rights. Justice Chandrakumar (retd), wondered if the leaders who were seeking unity among BCs could raise their voice within their party.
