Kurnool: The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with 2COMS under the skill international initiative to enhance global employment opportunities for nursing professionals. The partnership focuses on organising a German language training and placement linked programme specifically designed for nurses in Andhra Pradesh.The programme, set to train candidates in German over 8–10 months, aims to prepare them for placement in the German healthcare sector. The inaugural ceremony of the first batch was held at the Kurnool Government Nursing College, attended by officials, including Manjula Rani, principal of the Government Nursing College, Kurnool, P. Deepthi, district employment officer, Kurnool, DSDO L. Anand Rajkumar, DSDO V. Srikanth Reddy, and Akanksha, manager at 2COMS Consulting Private Limited.Speaking at the event, APSSDC executive director D. Manohar highlighted the programme’s objective of equipping healthcare professionals with essential language skills to enhance their employability in the global healthcare market. He emphasised the high demand for German language proficiency in European countries, which offers significant career opportunities for nurses.The training will be conducted by experienced and certified language instructors to ensure high-quality learning outcomes. This initiative not only focuses on skill development but also emphasises empowering young professionals in Andhra Pradesh to access international career prospects. By facilitating global employment, the programme aims to enable nurses to make valuable contributions to the global healthcare sector while advancing their careers.
