Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh High Court held hearing on a plea filed by former MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy for grant of anticipatory bail in two cases booked against him.A single judge bench headed by Justice V.R.K. Krupa Sagar heard the plea here on Monday.Special counsel N. Ashwani Kumar, appearing for police, argued that as the cases booked against the ex-MLA were heard by Justice T. Mallikarjuna Rao earlier, the same judge should hear the fresh bail pleas, quoting the Supreme Court judgments given earlier.Petitioner’s counsel O. Manohar Reddy submitted that the plea came up for hearing before the judge, Justice V.R.K. Krupa Sagar, as per roster and informed the judge that he was having the roster to take up hearing of cases pertaining to the former and sitting public representatives.After hearing both the parties, the judge wanted to examine as to who should take up hearing on the pleas and adjourned the matter for next hearing to August 14.
