Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has simplified the pension distribution process. Minister Kondapali Srinivas announced that if a pension is not collected for two consecutive months, the amount will be paid in the third month. For example, if a pensioner misses collection in the first month, both the first and second month’s pensions will be paid together in the second month. If the pensioner does not collect for two consecutive months, they will receive three months’ worth of pension in the third month. However, if no pension is collected for three months, the individual will be classified as a permanent migrant and their benefits will be suspended until they return to their original location and apply for reinstatement.Additionally, if the head of a family receiving an old age pension dies, the widow will automatically begin receiving a widow’s pension the following month. Relevant authorities have been instructed to implement these measures.
