Visakhapatnam: A group of 60 officer trainees including forest section officers and forest beat officers from the Andhra Pradesh State Forest Academy in Rajahmundry visited the Rani Chandramani Devi (RCD) Government Hospital Biodiversity Park in Pedawaltair on Wednesday.The visit, aimed at enhancing their knowledge of biodiversity conservation, was conducted under the direction of Vijay Kumar, IFS, director of the Andhra Pradesh State Forest Academy.Supervision of the visit was provided by Shanthi Swaroop, IFS, deputy director of APSFA, and Ramana Murty, IFS, DFO, Visakhapatnam. The trainees were given insights into the biodiversity park’s unique flora and fauna as well as the initiatives undertaken for environmental preservation.This educational tour was part of the academy’s ongoing efforts to equip future forest officers with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in biodiversity management and conservation strategies.
