Air India flight travelling from Trichy to Sharjah encountered a hydraulic failure mid-flight, prompting emergency response protocols at Trichy Airport. The flight circled the airspace over Trichy to burn off fuel and safely landed at Trichy airport.The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) closely monitored the situation as the landing gear of the Air India flight deployed successfully. The flight made a normal landing, according to the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA).Airport Director Gopalakrishnan had stated that more than 20 ambulances and fire tenders were stationed at the airport as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and prevent any serious accident during landing.Emergency teams were on standby.
