Only BJP Can Fight MIM in GHMC Elections, Says Kishan

Hyderabad: After the Hyderabad local body MLC election, Telangana BJP chief and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy on Monday said that the party had proved that only his party could fight the AIMIM in Hyderabad and the upcoming GHMC elections will be between the two parties.Addressing state office bearers and district presidents, Kishan Reddy asked the party leaders to gear up for the GHMC elections focusing on the Narendra Modi government’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy against terrorists, which ended the period of bomb blasts, curfews and communal trouble in the country. After removal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and bringing normalcy in the Kashmir Valley, Kishan Reddy said terrorists were frustrated and resorted to horrific killing of Hindus before their family members in Pahalgam.“When all nations are supporting India and condemning the action of Pakistan for supporting terror elements, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi leveled irresponsible remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Kerala Congress too in its social media handle raised doubts on how terrorists sneaked across the border and reached Pahalgam which is 200 km away from the border,” Kishan Reddy said. The office bearers meeting also adopted a resolution condemning the Pahalgam attack.Referring to charges made by some Congress leaders linking the BJP with the BRS by citing the NDSA report, Kishan Reddy said it was an open fact that large-scale irregularities took place in the Kaleshwaram project. It was also a fact that the BRS government had spent over `1.2 lakh crore public money on the project and it had collapsed. “Why did the Congress fail to take action against the culprits even after being in power for 18 months,” Kishan Reddy asked.Responding to former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s comments against the Modi government about alleged non-release of funds to the state, Kishan Reddy said the BRS leader had never joined the central leaders in the inauguration of any central project in the state.“KCR must stop levelling baseless charges. The Central government had provided `11 lakh crore assistance to the state. The man, who had never attended any inauguration programme of several central projects during his 10-year tenure, must apology to people,” he said.
