Nalgonda: Agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Monday directed officials to fast-track the city’s underground drainage works and complete them before the onset of the monsoon.During an inspection of the project along the bypass road, he noted that the Rs 189 crore scheme — funded under AMRUT-3.0 — includes construction of a 44 MLD sewerage treatment plant at Dhamsapuram and a 9.5 MLD plant at Puttakota. Rao urged the deployment of additional JCBs, machinery, and manpower to accelerate progress and ensure that the new drainage network is fully operational ahead of heavy rains.
