Tirupati: The Telugu Desam (TD) party has secured the Kuppam Municipal Chairman post, with sixth ward councillor Selva Raj elected as Chairman. He was elected with the support of 14 councillors and one ex-officio member.According to reports, four councillors who were earlier with the YSR Congress party switched allegiance to the TD, strengthening the party’s position. Out of the total 24 municipal members, the majority rallied behind the TD, ensuring Selva Raj’s victory.Following the election results, TD leaders and workers celebrated the success in the premises of the MPDO office, marking a major political win for the party in Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s home constituency.
