BRS sole defender of Telangana self-respect

Warangal: Former minister and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao today lauded the BRS as the sole defender of Telangana’s self-respect, ahead of the party’s Silver Jubilee public meeting at Elkathurthy mandal on Sunday.Addressing reporters at the rally site, Harish Rao said that in crises “people — regardless of which party is in power — turn to K. Chandrashekar Rao and the BRS.” He predicted “massive, voluntary” turnout from across the state, driven by a desire to hear BRS chief Chandrashekar Rao speak. “Even Congress leaders are eager to know what he will say,” he added.Harish Rao credited the BRS with transforming Telangana from “a land of farmer suicides into the granary of India.” He declared, “Come what may, even if the world turns upside down, the people want KCR back as Chief Minister.”He launched a sharp critique of the Congress government, accusing it of abandoning BRS-launched welfare schemes and failing to roll out new programmes. “Congress rule lacks both direction and rhythm,” he said, blaming the administration for stalled development and shrinking state revenues. He also faulted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for reneging on promised loan waivers and failing to fulfill any of the party’s “six guarantees.”Warning of possible deliberate disruptions — such as traffic blockades — to hamper Sunday’s Sabha, Harish Rao urged BRS volunteers to remain calm, disciplined and coordinated. He concluded by calling on workers, students, farmers, women and activists to join the “historic gathering” and reaffirm their support for the party.
