Mahayuti's poll promises unfulfilled in Maharashtra budget

Finance minister Ajit Pawar said that it is true that they made the promises to increase the financial assistance, but it will be soon done when they get the money.“We are still in power and whenever the decision of increasing financial assistance is announced, it will be informed to the media,” chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said.Mahayuti government had also promised to waive off upto Rs 3 lakh farm loan. However, there is no mention of this promise during the budget.Uddhav Thackeray slammed Mahayuti government calling it U turn and a cheater government. He said when they wanted women and farmers votes that time, they promised them increasing financial assistance and farm loans.“So, people voted for them. Now, election is over, they no longer need the votes, therefore the people who are sitting in power are changing the word and going away from the given promises. It is unfortunate that BJP and its alliance partners are sticking to their jumla style of politics and continue to fool the people to garner their votes,” Shiv Sena (UBT) leader said.
