Gold, Silver Prices Today: The gold April contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) opened today at Rs 85,399 per 10 grams, up by Rs 15 from the previous close of Rs 85384.
Gold, Silver Prices Today March 4: Gold price continued an uptrend on Tuesday i.e. March 4, 2025. The gain comes amid rise in demand for the safe-haven after US President Donald Trump vowed to implement dollar on trade partners.
The gold April contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) opened today at Rs 85,399 per 10 grams, up by Rs 15 from the previous close of Rs 85384. It gained further to touch a high of Rs 85,534. At the time of writing the news, the contract was trading at Rs 85,510, up by Rs 126 or 0.15 per cent.
Similarly, silver futures, maturing on May 5, 2025, witnessed a gain in the opening trade. The contract opened higher at Rs 96,055 per kg on the MCX, a jump of Rs 38 against the previous close of Rs 96,093. It later fell to touch the low of 95,780. At the time of writing this report, it was trading at Rs 96,010 – a fall of 45 points or 0.05 per cent from the previous close. Earlier, the gold futures price touched its highest level of Rs 86,592 this year.
Last year, the silver futures touched an all-time high of Rs 1,00,081 per kg.

In the international market, the COMEX gold price was around $2,898.7 per troy ounce. The spot gold price at 10:10 am was around $2,891.9 per ounce.
