Hyderabad: BRS working president and Sircilla MLA K.T. Rama Rao faced backlash on social media after sharing a video of Yadagirigutta temple on X, using hashtags #Yadadri and #KCR—suggesting credit to K. Chandrashekar Rao for the temple’s renovation.
One user responded sharply: “Yes, it’s our Telangana people’s money and ideology—not your bapu’s money, FYI anna!” Another commented, “I wish you had done the same for Vemulawada!”—a reminder that KCR had promised funds for Vemulawada’s development as well.
Criticism extended beyond the name reference. One user slammed the temple’s commercialisation, noting, “Car parking costs Rs 500—way too high!” Another questioned the attribution of credit:

It is noteworthy that the current Congress government restored the temple’s original name, Yadagirigutta, replacing KCR’s rebranded “Yadadri.”
