Vijayapura: BJP leader and Bijapur City MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal has strongly condemned the stonepelting incident in Udayagiri of Mysuru. “The diabolic intent of radicals has once again been showcased in Mysuru’s Udayagiri locality. Stone Pelters from a particular community damaged police vehicles and injured at least 14 Policemen including an ACP and Inspector,” Yatnal stated in a post on X. He also alleged that the incident was a pre-planned one. “It seems the event had been planned and engineered by certain vested interests to cause communal violence and disturb peaceful co-existence. Police have found bags of stones and bricks which establishes the fact that this incident was a premeditated one,” he said. Yatnal demanded that the government arrest the culprits within 24 hours and ensure full recovery of damages caused to police and public property. “The Police should immediately go mercilessly after these nodes and file non-bailable cases for endangering their lives and that of the common man,” he added.
