Hyderabad: Sri Nithyananda Trayodashi was celebrated with fervour at the Hare Krishna Golden Temple in Banjara Hills on Monday, with devotees participating in the Maha Harati organised by Hare Krishna Movement-Hyderabad (HKM-H) and partaking of the prasad.‘Nitai Gauranga Ashtotthara Shata Kalasha Mahabhishekam’ was performed with 108 Kalashalas filled with various types of fruit juices, colourful flowers, Panchamrutham, Panchagavyam and spices. Later, the deity of the Lord was adorned with new clothes and ornaments and a ‘Maha harati’ was performed amidst melodious Sankirtans and traditional dances by the devotees.In the morning, after the three-hour ‘Harinama Sankirtan’, Chappan Bhog (56 types of food items) specially prepared by the devotees were offered to the Lord as Naivedyam.Senior leaders also felicitated the temple members who had participated in the ‘Gita Marathon’ organised on the last ‘Gita Jayanti’ and distributed Bhagavad Gita and various other Vedic literatures. Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, president of Hare Krishna Movement, Hyderabad, said, “The original Guru, Sri Nityananda Rama, is the true incarnation of Balarama. He bestows spiritual power on devotees who desire to develop love for the Lord.”
