Karimnagar: Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar launched a scathing attack on Congress and BRS while unveiling the BJP’s manifesto for the upcoming MLC elections during the “Graduates Sankalp Yatra” from Ramnagar to Geetha Bhavan Chowrasta on Saturday. Addressing a large gathering of youth, employees, and BJP workers, Bandi accused the Congress of betraying voters with unfulfilled promises, including commitments of Rs 4,000 monthly for unemployed youth, Rs 5 lakh education assurance cards, Rs 50,000 for degree students, Rs 1 lakh for postgraduates, and scooters for 18-year-old girls. He further alleged a conspiracy to include Muslims in the BC list, warning that such a move would undermine Hindu representation. Bandi also compared Congress leader Revanth Reddy to BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar, citing electoral failures in Haryana, Maharashtra, and Delhi, and claimed that a secret alliance between BRS and Congress was stalling corruption investigations. Calling for a decisive victory for BJP candidates Anji Reddy (Graduates MLC) and Malka Komuraiah (Teacher MLC), Bandi vowed that a BJP-led government would halt any move to alter the BC list and hold Congress accountable for its broken promises. He reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to delivering on the promises made by the Modi government and urged voters to support the party for a better future. BJP leaders including Medak MP Raghunandan, Adilabad MP G. Nagesh, MLA Payal Shankar, and Katepalli Venkataramana Reddy were also present at the event.
