WARANGAL: Violence erupted at Kakatiya University on campus Monday after a minor dispute between senior and junior students in the common mess hall escalated into a street-fight. The clash began when third-year Integrated Chemistry students accused second-year students of disrespect, quickly devolving into a brawl. Eyewitnesses reported that the altercation spread outside the mess, with fistfights near the girls’ hostel creating a climate of fear. Several students sustained injuries and were taken to a local hospital. University police intervened promptly, detaining 10 senior and eight junior students. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway. University officials condemned the violence and vowed to implement measures to prevent future incidents.
