Bengaluru: The State Government entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University of Pool for greater cooperation in education and research activities. By this MoU, the State Government aims to advance knowledge exchange, facilitate academic mobility and support joint research initiatives that will benefit both institutions and stakeholders.The Minister of Large and Medium Scale Industries termed the signing of MoU with University of Liverpool a “historic” moment.At the MoU signing ceremony held at Cauvery, official residence of Chief Minister, was attended by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Minister of Large and Medium Scale Industries M.B. Patil, Minister of Higher Education Dr C. Sudhakar, Vice-Chancellor of University of Liverpoool Prof Tim Jones, Pro-Chancellor of University of Liverpool Prof Tariq Ali and others.The MoU was signed by Director of British Council Division Janaka Pushpanatahan, Deputy Head of Mission British Deputy High Commission James Godber, Vice-Chancellor of University of Liverpoool Prof Tim Jones, Pro-Chancellor of University of Liverpool Prof Tariq Ali and others.The signing of MoU between the State Government and University of Liverpool came ahead of Bengaluru city hosting Global Investors Meet (GIM) ‘Invest Karnataka-2025’ from February 11 to 14. The event will showcase Karnataka’s potential and highlight collaborative opportunities in various sectors including education, research and industry partnerships.The MoU sets a stage for greater international engagement and underscores the State’s commitment to fostering high-impact partnerships in education and research.
