Visakhapatnam: The Srikakulam district administration launched the helicopter tour on Sunday in connection with the Ratha Saptami which will be organised on February 4.It was supposed to start at 9 am from the Dutch Building in Srikakulam but started late due to thick fog that enveloped the area. The helicopter can carry six people and each ticket costs Rs 1,800 for an eight-minute ride. Children below the age of two years are not allowed. The sorties will continue till 4 pm for three days and close on February 4 evening. A special counter has been set up in the Srikakulam Municipal Commissioner’s office for people who are not aware of getting tickets online. The concerned staff will inform people about the procedure for getting tickets online and book tickets offline and take a copy of the ticket and give it to those who have booked. No cash payment will be accepted anywhere. It is informed that the date and time of booking for the helicopter ride will be between 9 am and 5.30 pm on the above three days. Visitors should take advantage of this helicopter ride.
