Hyderabad: Revenue and housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has directed officials to use artificial intelligence (AI) to eliminate corruption and irregularities in the Indiramma Housing scheme. He emphasised the need to implement the housing program without delay.Addressing the officials, Reddy stated, “AI should be used to ensure transparent selection of beneficiaries throughout the construction process. The app developed for monitoring the construction progress should be used to track progress across the state. Payments will be made in four installments, with no room for delays. Political interference in selecting beneficiaries should be eliminated, helping to identify ineligible applicants.”The minister also instructed officials to prioritise the poorest, physcially challenged persons, widows and transgenders in the initial selection round. Housing secretary Buddha Prakash and Housing Corporation MD V.P. Gautam participated in the meeting.
