Telangana Republic Day celebrations: Governor unfurls national flag

Hyderabad: Republic Day celebrations are underway across Telangana. Governor Jishnu Dev Verma unfurled the national flag at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds. He later received a salute from the police. CM Revanth Reddy, ministers, MLAs, and senior officials attended the event. The Governor addressed the gathering, stating, “Agriculture is the backbone of the state’s economy. We have waived the loans of more than 25 lakh farmers and are providing assurance to them. Additionally, we will offer Indiramma’s spiritual assurance to agricultural laborers. A bonus for low-grade rice has been provided. We produced 1.59 crore tonnes of paddy during the 2024 monsoon season. Women have saved Rs. 4,500 crore with free bus transport. We are providing household lights to 50 lakh poor families. A Young India Skill University has been established for youth empowerment. The government is giving a significant push to Telangana’s culture, and we have declared the song Jaya Jayahe, written by Andesri, as the state anthem,” the Governor revealed.
