Hyderabad: The Shamirpet police on Thursday arrested 28-year-old Alakunta Narsimha for the alleged murder of his father, A. Hanumanthu, during a quarrel over an aquarium.On January 14, the accused’s mother, Peddamma, and his sister, Yaddamma, had a fight over a sari during which an aquarium was accidentally broken. Following this, Narsimha, in a drunken condition, accused Yadamma of intentionally breaking the aquarium.He then assaulted her with a pestle. When Hanmanthu attempted to intervene, Narsimha struck him with the pestle and a brick.The complainant’s daughter, Yadamma, called an ambulance whose staff declared Hanmanthu dead. Police said Narsimha was married but was living separately due to disputes.2 Bikes, Furniture Gutted in Hotel FireHyderabad: A fire was reported at Kanchu Kota Restaurant in Addagutta, KPHB Colony, at 3.30 am on Thursday, police said.
