Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Wednesday extended the period of stay granted on December 24, 2024 against the summons issued by Bhupalpally district court for former chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and former minister T. Harish Rao till January 22.Justice K. Lakshman was hearing a quash petition filed by Chandrashekar Rao and Harish Rao against the order passed by the principal sessions judge, Jayashankar Bhupalapally district on July 10, 2024.The district court issued notices to Chandrashekhar Rao, Harish Rao, then irrigation secretary Rajat Kumar, engineer-in-chief Sridhar and Krishna Reddy, directing them to appear before it in the case registered based on a private complaint filed by de facto complainant Nagavelli Rajalingamurthy.The complainant accused Chandrashekhar Rao and others of resorting to large-scale misappropriation of government funds and making the state exchequer loss crores of rupees during the construction of the Medigadda Barrage.
