Hyderabad police issues advisory asking people not to share confidential details

Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills police issued a notice to BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy in connection with a case registered against him for preventing a government officer from discharging his duty. In the notice, the police asked Kaushik Reddy to appear before them at Jubilee Hills police station on Friday 10 am. The police booked a criminal case against Kaushik Reddy, another BRS leader Manne Govardhan Reddy and others for barging into Banjara Hills police and misbehaving with the Inspector KM Raghavendra threatening him using abusive language against the police officer. The case was booked based on a complaint filed by Raghavendra. In the complaint, Raghavendra stated that Kaushik Reddy, Goverdhan Reddy and their followers behaved in a manner which would scare any public servant discharging their official lawful duties. Raghavendra further stated that when he was leaving the police station in his government vehicle on an emergency and mandatory law and order duty and was about to pass through the main gate of police station, suddenly a white colour car bearing number – TS 03FF 9999 was driven and against his way and stopped obstructing his car. Meanwhile, around 20 to 30 persons led by Kaushik Reddy suddenly came to Raghavendra’s car and started yelling at him saying “Where are you going? Why are you running away? We will see how can you go away from here” and threatened him to get down from the car at once and also instigated his followers around him to stop the car and prevent him from going out. He stated that he did not understand what was happening all of a sudden after some persons in that mob started banging on the window glass while the MLA’s followers waylaid the car by surrounding it from all sides despite the driver trying to honk and tell them to give way.
