Kurnool: Social welfare minister Dr. Dola Sri Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy expressed profound grief over the demise of Army jawan Varikuntla Subbaiah, a resident of Prakasam district, who lost his life in a landmine explosion in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir.Subbaiah, from Ravipadu in Cumbum mandal, died while on duty, and his family received the news from Army officials on Tuesday. His body is being transported to Narpala in Anantapur district for the final rites.The minister described Subbaiah’s death as a significant loss, commending his heroic sacrifice in saving the lives of 30 fellow soldiers.He extended heartfelt condolences to Subbaiah’s family, stating that his bravery and selflessness were inspiring and a source of pride for the entire nation.
