Hyderabad: The Congress government, which is celebrating the one year of Praja Palana by implementing a number of welfare schemes, is all set to introduce a number of Bills during the Legislative Assembly session that is starting here on Monday.Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has focused on bringing reforms for the benefit of the people in the state and administrative convenience. Done with fulfilling the Six Guarantees, the government will now introduce several Bills, including one on HYDRAA, the Musi River beautification project and protection of waterbodies.The government, which found violations in Dharani portal, will also introduce the bill on RoR 2024 Act in the ensuing session. As regards the panchayat elections, which it is to conduct soon, the government will allow candidates having three children to contest in the elections. Earlier, only those with a maximum of two children were eligible to contest.The state government also brought reforms in merging villages and municipalities into urban development authorities in districts and Greater Hyderabad. The government would also introduce a bill on merging villages and municipalities. The government is likely to divide Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation into different zones. Similarly, it will also introduce bills pertaining to Rythu Bharosa and other issues.Meanwhile, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar on Sunday held a pre-session meeting with top state government and police officials in his chamber and discussed arrangements for the session.Prasad Kumar said that the dignity and eminence of the sessions should be maintained and every issue should be discussed comprehensively. Like in the past, the state government and officials should extend cooperation to these sessions as well. Information sought by the members should be provided at the earliest, he said.Answers to legislators’ questions, pending from the previous sessions, should be sent immediately, the Speaker directed officials.
