Congress Govt. Failed on Its Promises, Says BJP Leader

Hyderabad: Former MP and BJP leader Boora Narsaiah Goud stated that the condition of people in the state has become worse than the BRS rule. Promises like Rythu Bharosa is not being implemented and farmers are only getting benefits of PM Kisan Yojna from the Centre.Addressing the media at party headquarters here on Wednesday he said, “People had expected that there would be a democratic government. However, they were taken for a ride and now their situation is like one falling from the hearth to the fire. They cheated the people in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana. Promises like Rs 2,500 for Mahalakshmi scheme were to be implemented in 100 days but only the free bus scheme is being implemented and the cost is borne by the RTC as the government has not reimbursed it the Rs 3,000 crore amount.”Goud said that 30 per cent of the farmers could not avail the loan waiver scheme as those having a debt of above Rs 1 lakh were not eligible. The senior citizens are still awaiting payment of Rs 4,000 as pension. He said the Congress did not win even 50 seats in four states that went to polls recently. The BJP bagged beyond what the exit polls predicted with 134 seats in Maharashtra. The Congress was rejected as people realised that the party makes empty promises. The government should implement the 42 per cent reservation for BCs based on the caste data which will be available by December 15, he said.
