Young Telugu director Sai Rajesh who rose to fame with cult blockbuster ‘Baby’ is now making his debut in Bollywood. “I am elated about my maiden Hindi film and it’s a great opportunity,’ says director Sai Rajesh who thanks ace producer Allu Arvind, and Madhu Mantena who tasted success with the Hindi film ‘Ghajini’ with Aamir Khan. “Allu Arvind Garu has been a big supporter and also SKN who are helping to realize my big dream,” he adds.He is remaking his Telugu love saga ‘Baby’ featuring Anand Devarakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, a blockbuster in Telugu last year that captures the struggles of first love, betrayal, and the bittersweet journey of childhood friends. However, he hasn’t reworked much on the script for the remake. “Just a few minor changes to connect better with the Hindi audience but the soul and spirit of our heart-touching love story will be intact,” he informs.Interestingly, many rumors about the casting for the Hindi film have been making the rounds. Babil Khan, son of the late actor Irfan Khan, and Aryaman Deol, son of Bobby Deol for the male lead, while Sara Ali Khan and Krithi Shetty for the female lead and a few other names. “I can’t reveal the names but we have approached a few actors in Bollywood since our script demands a fresh casting. But nothing has been finalized till now. We are surprised by a few names that we didn’t even approach. Nonetheless, we find the right cast before going to sets since ours is a new-age love that captures varied facets of love,” he adds. After Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Gopichand Malineni, Sai Rajesh is another Telugu director who is going to move to Bollywood. “I am happy about Telugu directors doing well in Hindi films since our directors are capable enough. I would like to give my best shot for my Hindi debut,” he concludes.
