Vijayawada: Former minister and Punganur YSRC MLA Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, filed his nomination for the position of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman on Thursday. Although 18 MLAs are required for the post, the YSRC, with only 11 MLAs, faces slim chances.A dramatic delay unfolded when YSRC leaders, accompanied by Peddireddy, waited over two hours for officials to arrive. This delay sparked a strong reaction from senior leader MLC Botsa Satyanarayana. With the nomination deadline fast approaching, Botsa confronted officials about the delay. After the officials eventually arrived, Peddireddy’s nomination was accepted. The nomination was supported by YSRC MLAs Buchepalli Sivaprasad Reddy and Tatiparthi Chandrasekhar. Voting for PAC membership will occur on Friday using a ballot method. Telugu Desam has filed seven nominations, while Jana Sena and BJP have also filed candidates. MLA Pulavarthi Ramanjaneyulu from Jana Sena is expected to be elected PAC chairman.
