Kurnool: More than 70 people were injured during the Bunni festival at the Mala Malleswara Swamy temple in Devaragattu, Kurnool district where devotees traditionally engage in a stick fight. Despite police efforts to disarm participants, two devotees are reported to be in critical condition. The festival, which coincides with Dussehra, has a history of injuries, as participants often sustain bleeding wounds. The temple, located 10 km from Aluru, is managed by the residents of Neraniki village and attracts a large number of devotees every year.
