Vijayawada: Former YSR Congress MP Nandigam Suresh was arrested by police and presented in court at Mangalagiri on Monday. He faces murder charges related to the killing of a woman named Mariamma during a group clash in Velagapudi in 2020. Earlier, Suresh was arrested for allegedly attacking the Telugu Desam’s head office. Following that incident, he was brought before a magistrate and remanded to judicial custody at the district jail in Guntur. Although he secured interim bail from the High Court, he could not provide the necessary surety for his release.With the Mangalagiri court issuing a PT warrant, Suresh was re-arrested by Thullur police. Upon his latest appearance before the magistrate, he was remanded to judicial custody until October 21.
