Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed the officials to form Indiramma Committees by Dasara. He also asked them to lay down the guidelines for the formation of village/ward, mandal/city, constituency, district-level committees in a couple of days.He held a review meeting on the construction of Indiramma houses at the Secretariat on Wednesday. He said that several states got maximum number of houses sanctioned under the PM Awas Yojana while Telangana is lagging behind. He asked the officials to take steps to ensure that maximum number of houses were sanctioned to the state and also for the release of pending PMAY funds. When the officials informed him there would be an engineering problem, if houses were taken up in a large number at the same time. “If needed, you can go for outsourcing,” he suggested. The CM asked the officials to auction blocks and houses of the Rajiv Swagruha scheme that had remained unoccupied for a long time. He asked the officials to identify the beneficiaries of the double-bedroom houses and immediately handover the properties to them. Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, CM advisor Vem Narender Reddy, state government chief secretary Santhi Kumari, principal secretary V. Seshadri, CM secretary Chandrasekhar Reddy, Housing department secretary Jyothi Buddha Prakash, Telangana Housing Department MD VP Gautam, and other officials were present.
