Telangana CM announces Red Alert in view of heavy rains in the State

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy conducts an urgent emergency review meeting with officials and reviews the situation and announces red alert in the State as many areas in the state have been badly hit, the emergency services have been paralysed due to incessant rains.He calls senior ministers Bhatti Vikramarka, Uttam Kumar Reddy. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Tummala Nageshwara Rao, Damodhara Rajanarasimha and Jupally Krishna Rao and alerts them on the condition in the State.In a teleconference, he asked the Chief Secretary, DGP and the officials of Municipal, Power, Panchayat Raj, HYDRAA and Irrigation Officials to keep the staff in alert mode for 24 hours. He also asks the district collectors, the SPs, revenue, irrigation and municipal officials in the district to make field visits to review the situation and take up relief and rehabilitation measures.The Chief Minister also directed the officials not to go on leave and those who are already on leave to cancel their leave and join the duties. He directed the officials of emergency departments to give all the feedback to the Chief Minister Office.Calling people not to venture out in view of heavy rain alert and flood situation in the State, Revanth Reddy asks the officials to take up rehabilitation works on war footing in flood affected areas. He also asked people living in low lying areas to stay in alert mode and inform the officials about any requirement.Revanth Reddy urged all the MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other local leaders to involve themselves in relief works. He also urged the Congress activists to extend all the help to needy people.
