The petition has been accepted, and the matter is expected to be heard by Justice Bharadwaj on Tuesday.Since the incident, Ray has been highly critical of the Trinamool Congress-led West Bengal government and the Kolkata Police, including their handling of the “Reclaim the Night” protest on the night of August 14-15.On August 16, he also wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, calling for a stringent and comprehensive Central Act to prevent atrocities against women.
