AP DGP carries out major reshuffle of DSPs

Visakhapatnam: Director General of Police (DGP) of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday announced a series of transfers and postings of deputy superintendent of police (DSP)-level police officers in the state.

Among the notable transfers is that of Ch. Vivekananda, the sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) in Visakhapatnam. Vivekananda will now be assistant commissioner of police (ACP), Srikakulam North. B. Suneel, also from Visakhapatnam, has been transferred to the police headquarters.

A. Trinadha Rao, previously DSP special branch in Srikakulam, has been appointed as deputy superintendent of railway police (DSRP) in Visakhapatnam. B. Mohan Rao, who was DSRP in Visakhapatnam, has been transferred to Kakinada. M. Sravani, DSP (Intelligence), has been named the SDPO in Anakapalli.

S. Appala Raju, who had been SDPO of Anakapalli, will now take charge of the Women’s Police Station in Visakhapatnam. Ch. Penta Rao, DSP CID, has been reassigned to the position of deputy training commissioner (DTC), Eluru.

K. Prabhakar, ACP Harbour, has been transferred to the police headquarters. M. Srinivasa Rao, previously with the city security branch in Visakhapatnam, has been posted as DTC, Anakapalli. B. Moses Paul, who had also been ACP Harbour, will also report to the police headquarters.

The office of the DGP has ordered that all officers must take up their new postings. The officers have been asked to notify Police Headquarters once they take charge of their new postings.
