Vijayawada: Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu led the chorus of condolences on Saturday following the demise of renowned classical dancer Yamini Krishnamurthy in Delhi.A Padma Vibhushan awardee, Krishnamurthy was a doyen of Bharatanatyam. Governor Nazeer expressed profound grief over her passing and offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.Chief Minister Naidu described Krishnamurthy as a stalwart of Indian classical dance. Born in Madanapalle in 1940, she distinguished herself as the ‘Asthana Nartaki’ (Resident Dancer) at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. A versatile artist, she excelled in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Odissi, earning global acclaim for her Kuchipudi performances.
