Warangal: District collector Satya Sharada Devi on Saturday expressed displeasure at the shoddy condition of the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Hospital and negligence of duties by its staff, during an inspection on Saturday.After visiting different wards, the collector interacted with patients and enquired about the facilities and treatment. She also inspected the out-patient department and online registrations and went over the diagnostic and medical tests records.After noticing that one of the doctors marked his attendance for the whole of July, the collector directed district medical officer Dr Vani to suspend the doctor immediately, She asked the DMO to issue showcause notices to staff for not marking biometric attendance.Stringent action would be taken against officials who are negligent in discharging their duties, Devi warned. Additional collector Sadhya Rani, RDO Krishna Veni, superintendent Dr Chandrasekhar and RMO Murali Srinivas were present during the inspection.
