Bellary: Housing, Waqf, and Minorities Welfare Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan has been appointed as the district in-charge minister of Ballari. The order was issued on June 28.
Zameer, who is currently the in-charge minister of Vijayanagara, has now been given additional charge of Ballari, officials confirmed.
When Siddaramaiah government came to power in 2023 Minister B Nagendra, a native of Ballari district, held the in-charge position.
As Nagendra resigned following allegations of a Valmiki Corporation fund scam, the government has now appointed Zameer as the district in-charge minister of Ballari.
