In the words of Asif Kamal, Director, Alturaash Gallery, “‘Ae Mohabbat’ is a milestone for artists as well as art lovers and collectors because Pradiptaa Chakroborty is an artist who creates works according to his own individual understanding of the mapping of the world through people.” For Chakroborty, colour and composition both become the ingredients of his canvas because “they directly influence the mind and soul of the onlooker”. He adds, “It is a great honour to show at Alturaash Gallery and indeed a moment of distinction to have Curator Uma Nair create a historical commentary of great depth and history for my works.”Nair is also working on a seminal solo exhibition of world famous abstractionist Mahirwan Mamtani from Cologne in Germany. This will debut at Alturaash, Dubai and will travel to cities in India next year. The third chapter of Nair’s sculpture show titled ‘iSculpt for Delhi,’ featuring works by 20 artists, recently opened at the India International Centre and will continue till December 18, 2021. Her next solo exhibition will be the retrospective of Muzaffar Ali at Bikaner House in 2022.
