Atiq Ahmed's son had been killed in an encounter on April 13 Gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf Ahmed were shot dead on Saturday while being taken for a medical examination in Prayagraj, reports say.
Atiq was awarded a life term in the Umesh Pal abduction case on March 28.
Atiq’s son, Asad, was killed in an encounter on April 13 and his cremation took place today amid tight security.
