Uddhav Thackeray addressing the mammoth crowd at Khed in Konkan on Sunday said that BJP is the most corrupt party in India today and all opportunists are joining the BJP as safe haven from their corruption cases.
After losing his father Balasaheb Thackeray founded Shiv Sena as a party and its traditional symbol – bow and arrow, Uddhav Thackeray first addressed the public rally at Khed. Former Shiv Sena minister Ramdas Kadan’s son Yogesh Kadam has got elected from Khed and he is part of Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena.
Uddhav Thackeray, attacking the BJP said that earlier Saints used to sit on the BJP’s stage but now it is full of corrupt leaders and opportunists. He said in the recently concluded Meghalaya polls, in the election campaign BJP leader Amit Shah called Conrad Sangma as the most corrupt and asked people not to vote for him.
“But after the elections, BJP cemented the alliance with Mr Sangma led the party and supported him as chief minister of Meghalaya. Even Prime minister Narendra Modi tweeted that Conrad’s father late PA Sangma must be happy with this new alliance. This is the BJP today, which alleges you as corrupt in elections, but sit with the same people in power,” Thackeray said.
Uddhav Thackeray said that all the central agencies and the elections commission of India is the slave in the hand of the BJP’s leadership who are sitting in power. He said that democracy is in danger.
“The 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be the last elections in India if the BJP is not thrown out of power. After that, there will be no elections and people will not be allowed to cast their votes as well. All democratic things will end, so people have to decide what to do and protect the democracy in India,” Uddhav Thackeray said.
He said that he does not believe in the order of the ECI of India. “We had appealed against the ECI order in the supreme court. What and how much will the BJP and plunder gang (Eknath Shinde) steal? Earlier they stole my father-founded party and its symbol and wants to use his photograph to garner votes. I dare them to use their father and PM Narendra Modi’s photo only, why to use my father’s name and photo,” Uddhav Thackeray said.
He also said that the businesses are shifted to adjoining states. “Maharashtra has been deprived from the big investment. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde is more in Delhi than in Maharashtra. He has succumbed to the power of Delhi which was not the case earlier. I worked hard during the pandemic therefore Maharashtra govt work was appreciated worldwide, now where are we heading? No jobs, no industry and even the adjoining state Karnataka has been also threatening us and claiming rights over our part,” said Thackeray.
