NEW DELHI: A Bengaluru-bound IndiGo plane on Friday suspected fire in one of the engines at the time of taxiing at the Delhi airport, according to a source.

The A320 aircraft was taxiing and an emergency was declared due to a suspected fire in one of the engines.

There were more than 180 people on board, the source said.

An aircraft operating flight 6E-2131 (Delhi-Bangalore) experienced a technical issue while on take-off roll, immediately after which the pilot aborted the takeoff & aircraft returned to the bay. All passengers & crew are safe & an alternate aircraft is being arranged, IndiGo informed.
